land cover types is between 6 and 14 and May minimum temperature
(hex. med.) is 0-8� C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive
or negative association with agricultural lands, lakes/reservoirs,
wetlands and wet shrubland, May maximum temperature (hex. avg.),
number of land cover types, and-to a lesser degree-road density,
topographic variation, and the extent of public land.
